Escape to rural Coniston, where you can relax and unwind away from the daily hustle and bustle, whilst enjoying a range of activities on your doorstep. This romantic Lake District retreat boasts outstanding landscapes a short stroll from your front door. Head out and enjoy the summer sunshine on the waters of Coniston less than 500 meters away or make it a day trip on the lake’s very own Steam Yacht Gondola. If you love to ramble, you can tick off multiple Wainwright walks during your stay, with the Old Man Of Coniston only 8 miles away and Claife Heights 11 miles. Slightly further afield, you have the popular village of Ambleside (13 miles) and Windermere (14 miles). Coniston itself has plenty to offer, with a range of cafés and bars at its centre.

Set within the picturesque grounds of Lake Bank, Fairfield is located on the 1st and 2nd Floor of Lake Bank House and sets the scene for a relaxing break. Until recently a private dwelling the owners (since 1975) who already let 2 other holiday apartments in the building have made improvements to make the property ideal for a relaxing holiday with family or friends. Once parked in the private parking space, you can head up the stairs to this spacious first-floor apartment. The shared hallway (used only by the owners and their personal guests) offers plenty of space to kick off your boots after a day on the fells. Once inside the first floor entrance you are led through to the main living space where the cosy sofas and wood burner offer a romantic space to enjoy the spectacular lake views and make the most of your holiday. Seated at the spacious glass dining table you can enjoy your meal and the views from all 4 windows. Off the hallway lies the amply supplied kitchen. With cool, neutral tones, this room makes cooking your evening meal a delight. Across the way, you will find the bright king-size bedroom with spacious fitted wardrobes. With more panoramic views across the lake from here, you can spend an evening stargazing into the evening sky or wake up refreshed in the morning sunshine. The en-suite bathroom offers a spa bath for you to wind down and reflect on the day’s events as well as a shower.

Step outside and explore the acres of private woodlands and open space. Shared with the other properties on the grounds, these outdoor areas give you plenty to explore. You’ll also find a handy dog wash, shared between the neighbouring properties.

Highly recommended property, good location to stay at. Very modern and all things thought of to ensure a comfortable stay. Will look to stay at this property again in the future.

WOW! This was just the most perfect week in the perfect place. We were stunned by the lovely views and loads of space in this beautiful property. We also booked another property within lake bank but this one has a separate entrance door which was handy. The house was clean and tidy with everything you need and short walk to the water. Lovely apartment stunning views, well equipped and comfortable. Lovely walks from your doorstep but be aware long way to any shops or pubs so take supplies. Internet is also very slow made watching anything live on the Samsung Plus TV hard work due to constant buffering.

We had a lovely two weeks at Fairfield in Lake bank. Marketta was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble. The apartment is very well equipped with all you need for your holiday. Fantastic views from the lounge and bedroom. We wouldnt hesitate to go back.

Very comfortable accommodation with a wonderful view of the lake. Owners available by phone to answer any queries. Be aware there are no local shops at hand!
