Laying at the bottom of Cartmel Fell looking out to the great limestone scar of Whitbarrow. You can set out on foot or bike to follow the many walking trails that dissect this striking area, passing pretty hamlets and delightful village pubs along the way. The nearby village of Newton-In-Cartmel (2.5 miles) not only boasts a restaurant but also a local pub. Then, just 2.5 miles away, you have the seaside town of Grange-Over-Sands where you can walk with wolves to the foot of Lake Windermere and the River Leven, where you will find the villages of Newby Bridge (5.5 miles), Lakeside (7 Miles) and Haverthwaite (9 miles) offering plenty to see and do, from a sightseeing journey on a traditional steam train to a relaxing cruise on the lake.

Entering the property through the porch, you are welcomed into the bright and fresh kitchen, well-equipped for all your catering needs. Next door the delightful twin bedroom combines comfort with practicality, with soft throws and a TV to unwind in the evening, alongside an en-suite wet room, with shower and WC. Back through the kitchen and into the open-plan lounge/diner, the warm glow of the wood burner draws you in. With a comfortable sofa and two armchairs, there is plenty of space for the whole family to kick back and relax. The dining table has ample room should you decide to entertain. Through the lounge and to the rear of the property, the master king-size bedroom is another delightfully relaxing space, with additional seating to wind down with your favourite book. The master bedroom also offers a second en-suite wet room with shower and WC as well as a second increased accessibility entrance.

Outside the front patio is the perfect suntrap for al-fresco dining and soaking up the views. With lots of colour and scents from the bedding plants, this truly is a great place to wind down and take a break.

Superb accommodation and a delightful location. From the comfort of underfloor heating to the 100% level access which enabled everyone regardless of mobility to enjoy the break. The welcome shortbread and wine was a lovely touch. Comfy beds too. We will be returning:-)

Lovely comfortable cottage in a beautiful valley, very tranquil, you probably need transport to get to shops, pubs etc. but access is very easy.
