Despite the awful weather during the Easter holidays, we couldn't have had a better place to stay than Mews Cottage. It was in a great location for us enabling easy access to the Far Eastern fells, but also a quick drive to Keswick and Penrith. The house itself was beautifully decorated and comfortable with all the equipment that we needed. Highly Read morerecommended! Hide

We had a wonderful time at the cottage, exploring the Lakes and visiting Lowther Castle. The cottage was warm and comfortable, with everything that we needed. We especially enjoyed the sauna once the kids were in bed! I would thoroughly recommend the local pub (literally a stones throw away) which was cosy and welcoming.

Excellent cottage, well equipped. The cottage contained all that was needed, the beds were of a good size and very comfortabled. Located in a very small village with a nice friendly pub. Locals were very friendly, and help me out when I needed help.
