This quaint cottage boasts many original features including exposed beams, flagstone floors and is superbly located in an idyllic location close to Ullswater. Take advantage of this amazing location by enjoying lakeside picnics, wild swimming, cycling, hiking round the shore as well as paddle boarding and boating. Dig out your hiking boots and explore the fells around Glenridding and Ullswater including the popular Helvellyn (3 miles), one of England’s highest peaks. Take a trip to nearby Glenridding, only 1.5 miles, which has plenty of independent cafes, restaurants and pubs to enjoy. The beautiful waterfall of Aira Force (2.5 miles) is a must see, take a short walk through the woodland to reach the waterfall and enjoy its breath-taking beauty. The popular village of Pooley Bridge is only 6.5 miles away whereas the historic market town of Penrith with its abundance of local landmarks, shops and eateries is only 12 miles.

As you approach the cottage, you'll immediately notice its quaint and rustic exterior, complete with a welcoming porch, perfect for muddy boots and hanging coats. Inside, the cottage features an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner area. The lounge is a cosy space, featuring original beams and a flagstone floor, sink into the comfy sofa and armchairs and enjoy a night in front of the wood burner whilst watching the Smart TV or reading a book. Cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen and enjoy your culinary creations in the dining area. Steep ladder-style stairs lead to the second floor where you’ll find a double bedroom, a peaceful retreat with a comfortable bed and soft lighting to help you unwind after a busy day exploring the local area. The bunk bedroom is a fun and quirky space, perfect for children or young at heart adults. Freshen up and get ready for whatever adventures the day may bring in the family shower room.

The garden features two tiers, firstly a lawned area with bird box and then a patio area with outdoor furniture, a perfect oasis for al fresco dining or a glass of wine admiring the views of the nearby fells and Ullswater.
