Very lovely, cosy cottage and had equipment available that was a surprise, because other places we've stayed never had this, such as dog bowls and towels, as well as treats, plus little things such as washing up liquid and cloths and tea towels, which is nice because if we had forgotten our own, then these would have been there for us which was greRead moreat. A beautiful cottage. Immaculate condition with a real home from home feeling. Very cosy and I loved sitting next to the log burner watching TV. Had everything we needed. Would highly recommend for a quiet break away from all the rush. We visited Cockermouth which is small and quaint with lovely shops. We also went to Whitehaven and explored the RumRead more Story which was very interesting. The local pub The Mason's Arms in the village was very friendly and served some lovely food. Thank you. We found the cottage to be very nice and comfortable. For us, the location was a bit remote for a winter break due to short days / dark at 4 pm, especially when the weather is inclement.

This was a great place to stay, the cottage had all the essentials we needed. Our visits to the local Masons arms pub were enjoyable with everyone being very friendly. We lit the fire in the living room on our last night, as it was a little cold outside and wanted to enjoy the experience. Will definitely visit again.
