Escape to this cosy cabin in the woods, located in between three stunning areas of The Lake District – Grasmere, Ambleside and the beautiful Langdale Valley, all within 5 miles. This property offers fantastic scenery, walks and bike rides straight from the front door. Wray Castle is only 4.5 miles away, offering breathtaking views over Windermere Lake and a great family day out. Tarn Hows itself is also 4.5 miles away towards Hawkshead (6 miles) and makes for a beautiful place to walk. Grasmere is steeped in history with the William Wordsworth Museum (6.5 miles) and some of the best gingerbread which dates back to the 1630’s! Closer to home, you can enjoy walks along the River Brathay, starting at Skelwith Force, (0.5 miles) straight through into Elterwater (2 miles) and the Langdale Valley (3 miles). For evenings out or a refreshing beer, your local is only a short walk away, (0.5 miles).

Heading up the steps into the trees, you will find the entrance to this wonderful property. Once inside you are welcomed by the open-plan kitchen/diner and cosy living space with everything you need to rustle up a delightful family dinner or romantic meal for two. Enjoy breakfast at the dining table whilst looking out through the windows where you can spot the local wildlife. The lounge itself is perfect for snuggling up on those cooler evenings whilst watching the TV or enjoying a summer breeze from the patio. The two bedrooms are tucked away and include a bunk room with full-sized bunk beds, perfect for children and adults alike. The double bedroom is a cosy space with plenty of storage. You can wind down your evenings with a bubble bath, and start the day refreshed with the overhead shower.

Outside, you will find a patio area with seating to enjoy views over the woodland. You can also make use of the on-site facilities including a swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna (available from 1 March - 15 November), there is also a shared utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer (charges apply).

The cottage was very clean, cosy and had all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay. It felt very private nestled in the trees and it was lovely to watch the birds from the kitchen window. It was within a reasonable distance of Ambleside, Grasmere etc. We were disappointed that we did not have access to the advertised pool/table tennis/jacuzzRead morei as the pool was out of commission on the weekend we stayed and the whole activity centre was locked. We had a fantastic stay and the nice little extras was nice as well the tea bags and coffee and treats . And all the info and even a travel bowel for the dog . Loved it thank you. Have already recommended it to friends. Will will not stay anywhere else now in the lakes this ticked all the box's for us

The whole holiday was amazing. Ive never been to the Lake District and the area, lodge and amenities surrounding it was perfect for us. The lodge was beautiful and situated on an amazing secluded area. When we lost power we received amazing help from all parties and was handled very quickly.
