Nestled within the serene expanse of picturesque countryside, this delightful farmhouse is ideally positioned within the peaceful hamlet of Witherslack, and within easy reach of the bustling lakeside town of Windermere, (11 miles). The farmhouse presents an ideal starting point for both hikers and cyclists. The vicinity boasts an array of captivating paths, showcasing local treasures such as the equine centre at Bigland Hall (10 miles), Foulshaw Moss, Meathop Moss Nature Reserve, and Whitbarrow National Nature Reserve – all encompassed within a 3-mile radius – where chance encounters with ospreys and deer add to the allure. Among the nearby attractions and notable sites are Sizergh Castle (4.5 miles distant), Levens Hall (3.5 miles away), and Holker Hall and Gardens (8.5 miles). The charming market towns of Cartmel and Newby Bridge with independent shops and restaurants are both within a 7-mile radius.

After driving down the scenic track and parking in the spacious grounds you can head up into the property through the entrance at the rear. You will be welcomed into the cosy utility space, which is perfect to kick off those muddy boots and hang up your walking coats. This leads you through to the open-plan kitchen/dining area, a traditional farm-house kitchen, amply equipped with everything you need to create a tasty feast. Mealtimes can be enjoyed at the dining table whilst gazing through the patio doors, watching the dogs run riot. Heading into the heart of the house you can find the spacious hallways leading off to the various bedrooms and relaxation spaces. On the ground floor, you can find the twin bedroom adjacent to the family bathroom. Stepping down, the distinctly unique four-poster king-sized bedroom is conveniently located for stunning views across to the fields beyond. Working through the open-plan space you will find the TV room, with a Smart TV and comfortable seating to enjoy your favourite films. Next door there is the snug area, again with comfy sofas and a log burning stove, a welcomed space to snuggle up with a good book. Heading upstairs you climb the beautiful staircase up to the mezzanine, where a convenient study area awaits. Also on the first floor, you can find the master bedroom, suitably spacious with its own delightful en-suite with a roll-top bath. Across the hallway, you can find the fourth bedroom, a quaint double and completing the property, and an additional bathroom across the hall.

The outside space is something to behold, set amongst 2.2 acres you enjoy watching the sheep and lambs in spring or the moseying cows from the nearby fields. With its private seating and separate sun trap dining space, there is plenty to be enjoyed by the whole family be they young, old, or four-legged.

Wonderful family home in a peaceful location. Large, warm kitchen adorned with cheerful Emma Bridgwater pottery. Its worth noting that there are many steps throughout the property, which may prove hazardous for the elderly or toddlers.
