The location of this property provides visitors with spectacular views across Keswick towards Catbells (7.5 miles) and Bassenthwaite Lake (9 miles). Set just 1.5 miles from Keswick, the cottage is close enough to town to access shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs - walk to Keswick by road or on the path through the woods. Bus stops at the end of the lane provide transport to Grasmere (11 miles), Ambleside (15 miles), Windermere (20 miles) and Cockermouth (16 miles). Local walks from the doorstep take you to the ancient monument, Castlerigg Stone Circle (just over 1 mile away) or to the market town of Keswick. Keswick is home to the famous Pencil Museum, crazy golf, climbing wall and art gallery, offering something for everyone. Take a boat trip and head out across Derwentwater for a family-friendly day out and visit the lakeside villages and scenic spots such as Catbells, Lodore Falls and Portinscale.

The boot room is perfect for storing muddy boots and bikes. As you ascend the stairs to the first floor, you’ll find a handy WC, ascend further and you’ll be greeted by the king-size zip-and-link bedroom (can be made up as a twin upon request) which ensures a restful night's sleep while being treated to the same awe-inspiring views that grace the downstairs. Another king-size bedroom offers a touch of opulence and a peaceful haven, while the bunk bedroom features adult-size mattresses. As a family group of four adults and two children , we really enjoyed our holiday at Walla Yat. The house is spacious, homely, welcoming and spotlessly clean . Views from the lounge of the beautiful mountains and lake are spectacular, and indeed there is a view from all the rooms. Even on a day when the weather wasnt good , we were able to relax anRead mored play board games in the cosy lounge. The kitchen is well appointed , bedrooms comfortable. The house was in a great location with easy access to Keswick and the surrounding areas but at the same time, in a peaceful spot. Spacious with a very well equipped large kitchen/diner and large lounge and bedrooms. Spotlessly clean with double beds that were very comfortable with firm mattresses and a really comfy 3 piece suite in the lounge. The Read morehouse was decorated for Christmas which we really appreciated. Hide
