This cottage is very well appointed and in a fabulous location if you want good access to the mountains / Fells. The cottage is very comfortable and it like a home from home. The cottage is a short (0.5mile), steepish walk from Glenridding, which has all amenities needed for a week in the Fells! Car parking is near to the cottage and handy. The cottage is beautiful -clean, comfortable and well equipped. There are stunning views from the lounge and double bedroom which were wonderfull to wake up to. It is just a 10 min walk down to the Travellers Rest pub and the village with well stocked shop and a choice of places to eat and drink just a further 5mins down the hill. The walk back up Read morethe hill takes a bit longer, but as a pensioner I found it manageable and well worth it to have the views ! The owners are approachable and welcoming Hide

This is a nice house with a decent view from the front windows. It is well equipped and warm: smart TV, WiFi, grill, oven, log burner, decent shower, car parking space. We stayed at the house as a family of three (2 adults, 1 teenager): it was the right size. The house is in a good compromise location - Glenridding village is within 10 minutes' dowRead morenhill walk which means that anyone going up Helvellyn from the house starts at a decent height. Our stay at Annie's Cottage was an ideal break. We were three adults (our son joined us as a break from Uni), and two big dogs. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was probably the best equipped cottage we have every stayed in, and the location was ideal with Ullswater, Glenridding and Helvellyn right on your doorstops. I am sure we will return!
