Disembark at Aira Force to enjoy the dramatic waterfalls and explore the red squirrel woodland trails. Or continue to Howtown Pier and enjoy a 4-mile stroll along to Pooley Bridge, where you can enjoy afternoon tea at one of the independent cafes.
This traditional Lakeland cottage offers a warm welcome and provides a cosy retreat for up to four guests and two dogs. Accessed via a couple of stone external steps, a small entrance lobby leads to a bright lounge with a cosy wood burner, Smart TV and stunning views across the fells; a great place to relax and unwind on the reclining sofas. Accessed from the lounge is a generous understairs cupboard for storing outdoor jackets, shoes and equipment. The cottage style kitchen is equipped with everything required to cook up a scrumptious meal and benefits from a traditional walk-in pantry with additional storage space. A traditional cottage staircase leads from the entrance lobby to the first-floor landing where there is a step up into each of the upstairs rooms. You‘ll find a bright spacious master bedroom with a king-size bed, and fabulous views to wake up to each morning. Next door there is a cosy twin bedroom containing two single beds and an oak wardrobe. The family bathroom completes the first floor.
To the front of the cottage is a bench overlooking the breathtaking fell views. It is the perfect spot to sit and watch the world go by and chat to walkers as they head past. Also outside, is a private stone outbuilding for the secure storage of bikes, pushchairs and sports equipment.
