We had a great week at Ganny house. We arrived the day before storm Bert, so the weather was wild, snowy and cold. But the Aga keeps the kitchen warm and the living room warmed up nicely once we got the wood burner on. Cooking on the Aga was great fun, brilliant for hearty roasts. The location is tremendously isolated, which suited us fine, but youRead more can still get to a shop if you need to. Lots of walking nearby, bagged 13 wainwrights during the week. On clear nights the stars were awesome. Hide

Beautifully remote with lovely footpaths from the door, wonderful four door Aga for cooking, drying and warmth to come back to. Wonderful stay and hope to return

We had a lovely stay at Ganny House. It's in quite an isolated location which was perfect for us. We were able to walk out from the property to Devoke and the falls. The property is dog friendly, with a secure garden, which again was ideal.

The cottage was lovely & inviting (maybe a little dark in the living room but in keeping with how it would have been) and the Aga was perfect for keeping guests like me warm

A delightful cottage, in a beautiful location. Remote enough to be far from the madding crowd, but within walking and driving distance of some great spots. A wonderful garden; all necessary amenities and appliances, utensils, etc.; immaculately prepared and very clean. Look forward to returning here again (and again).
