Spend a day exploring the charming market town of Keswick (11 miles), known for its outdoor markets and the Derwent Pencil Museum, whilst history enthusiasts can visit the ancient St. James' Church and Mirehouse and Gardens (7.5 miles), an elegant historic house with scenic grounds. For a family-friendly outing, the Lake District Wildlife Park, just 4.5 miles away, offers close encounters with a variety of animals.
