This property, located along a private road, is an ideal base for exploring everything Bowness-on-Windermere offers, including some of the Lake District’s top attractions. Take a boat cruise on Lake Windermere to Ambleside (7 miles), or head south to Lakeside (7 miles) and visit the aquarium, or perhaps catch the steam train to Haverthwaite (8.5 miles). After a busy day taking in the glorious sights, head back to this property and enjoy dinner and drinks on the impressive balcony. Built into the hill, the property takes advantage of the remarkable, sprawling view, so sit back with your loved ones and take in your surroundings whilst you share highlights of your day. Bowness-on-Windermere (2 miles) is also home to attractions like The World of Beatrix Potter and the charming Art Deco Royalty Cinema.

As you enter the property, you are instantly welcomed into the main hall and sunroom. Heading through the spacious inner hallway, you’ll find the kitchen, lounge and dining area. The kitchen is well equipped to cook up a hearty breakfast or evening meal for all the guests. The dining room is directly off the kitchen with a large dining table and chairs, ideal for getting the whole group together over a delightful meal. The open-plan dining area leads directly to the spacious lounge, which benefits from floor-to-ceiling glass windows and doors, taking full advantage of the uninterrupted views. The lounge has a large contemporary wood burner and comfortable sofas, where you can enjoy the view with a glass of your favourite tipple. The house is on a split level, with the spacious super-king bedroom and beautiful en-suite bathroom situated on the lower-level floor (a couple of steps down). There is plenty of storage provided with a wardrobe and drawers. There are a further two double bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room, the other bedroom with a family bathroom. There is a further bedroom with twin beds and an en-suite bathroom. Finally, a small shower room with WC sits opposite the garage door. The large garage houses a washing machine and separate dryer should you need to refresh your towels after a day at the lake. There is also a large fridge freezer and an ice machine, as well as storage space for bicycles, kayaks, paddleboards, canoes, and such like.

Sitting on a large plot with a steeply lawned garden to the front, this property has a generous balcony – and the views are simply breathtaking! With plenty of space and seating for eight guests, it’s a special place to enjoy al fresco dining on warmer evenings. There is a large driveway (albeit on a steep incline) providing parking for at least four cars.
