This spacious South Lakes holiday home provides a quiet, rural retreat for up to ten guests, perfect for a memorable holiday with extended family or friends within the National Park.  Located 3 miles from Newby Bridge, a quaint village at the southern tip of Lake Windermere, and 4 miles from Cartmel, renowned as the prettiest village in the  Lake District and for its historic inns, tea rooms, gourmet restaurants and “Sticky Toffee Pudding”! The Edwardian seaside town of Grange-over-Sands, (4 miles), boasts a scenic promenade, nature reserves and gorgeous views over Morecambe Bay.

The beautifully furnished cottage, with ample parking is the perfect escape for relaxation and freedom and is perched high on a hillside and inspired by William Morris’ designs for an outstanding, colourful appearance.  Perfect for family celebrations and reunions!  Enter via the upper ground floor into a charming fully equipped country kitchen, complete with a dining table which is big enough to seat 10 for tucking into hearty meals together.  Here you can enjoy panoramic fell views framed by the kitchen windows and watch Herdwick sheep graze by the garden fence.  It is such a joy to observe the new born lambs gambolling alongside their mothers!  Adjacent to the kitchen, is a welcoming lounge with a warming wood burner, Smart TV, books, maps and guide books, tourist information, puzzles and games. French doors open out to a south and west facing balcony overlooking the picturesque gardens, village and hills.

Two of the five sumptuous bedrooms are also on this floor, including the master bedroom with super-king-size bed with Smart TV and access to the balcony. This room has an en-suite bathroom with spa bath and separate walk in shower. The second bedroom with super king-size bed, features breathtaking views and an en-suite bathroom. From the hall, there is a guest cloakroom with WC and shower.  Head down to the lower ground floor, where three further en-suite bedrooms await – one with super-king-size zip-and-link beds, which can be separated upon request, another with twin zip-and-link beds, which can be joined on request to make a super-king-size bed, and a third with a king-size bed with antique furniture and ensuite bathroom. This level includes a snug seating area with Smart TV – perfect for kids to do their own thing or for some quiet reading – and a second dining area ideal for younger guests. Also, for a special treat, take advantage of a complete spa experience after a long day’s walk, and relax in the invigorating sauna via the attached wet room.

Unwind and enjoy sunsets over the Fells from the beautifully landscaped gardens and three 'al-fresco' terraces, each with outdoor furniture and BBQ's.  The outside space is wonderful for “chilling out”, whether after sweating it out in the private sauna or a session on the exercise bike, enjoy a soak in the outdoor hot tub whilst absorbing the magnificent scenery and sippling a glass of your favourite tipple - the  ‘icing on the cake’ at this outstanding Lake District escape!
