This fantastic cottage, located in the most iconic of Lake District valleys with hundreds of walks, climbs and plenty of rivers to explore all on the doorstep, is ideal for a small family, two couples or friends. The property is on the outskirts of the village of Chapel Stile with a shop and pub under half a mile away. Just a little further down the road is Elterwater, which is about a mile away with more cafes and restaurants. Grasmere town, just past Grasmere lake, is under 4 miles from this cottage, where there too is more pubs and restaurants.

On entering the cottage, guests are met by the cosy living area, boasting a beautiful, original slate floor. The room’s welcoming wood burner helps guests to snuggle up on the comfortable seating and watch the mesmerising flames to relax. The bathroom is located downstairs with a full-size bath and overhead shower. The kitchen/dining room is spacious, bright and fully equipped with everything guests could possibly need for their stay. Upstairs are two bedrooms. One is a double, set at the front of the house, and it has fantastic vistas of the valley and the added bonus of an en-suite toilet. The second bedroom is a twin room with plenty of storage and views of the fells that the cottage is nestled into.

Outside, there is a shared lawned area that is a real suntrap – the perfect spot to relax and unwind after a day’s exploring.

A lovely cottage and a fantastic location in my opinion the best place ( valley) in the lakes and also 5mins walk from the pub nice after a long walk . We will 100% be back .thank you

We like this property and have stayed in it several times! Its location in the langdale valley is very attractive and convenient.

The cooker was not working and the hob wasnt very safe. Id be surprised if this has had an electricians safety certificate
