Grasmere is a picturesque village in the beautiful Lake District National Park, famous for being the home of notable poet William Wordsworth. Visit the world-famous Victorian gingerbread shop which has been producing award-winning delights since 1854, among a wide selection of restaurants, bars and shops dotted around the village centre less than half a mile away. Or step into another century and discover the story and home of William Wordsworth.

A spacious entrance hallway welcomes you into the property and leads into a generous lounge, enjoying lots of natural sunlight from the expansive bay window overlooking the garden. The space includes matching armchairs and a sofa, plus a Smart TV and a cosy gas fire. Through the property, you’ll find a large well-appointed kitchen, kitted out with everything you might need to cater, leading into the adjoining dining room complemented by more countryside views and a farmhouse-style wooden dining table and chairs. Upstairs, you’re met with a king-size bedroom enjoying lovely views over the garden and beyond, and a double bedroom. A family bathroom with a quirky corner bath completes this comfortable property.

An expansive lawned garden wraps around the whole cottage, boasting some well-stocked borders and a glass greenhouse that children will love exploring, under your supervision.

Great location, comfy beds, and plenty of space. Really quiet but convenient location, just what we needed. The property is comfy, but could do with some improvement and a bit more care to modernise it in some areas.

Quiet, off the main road and within easy reach of the village. The property was clean and warm with all the necessary equipment you'd need for your stay. However it is very dated inside and needs redecorating. The outside is grubby and the paintwork is peeling badly. Be warned, it's a three bed house but only has parking for one car. A very quiet and comfortable stay. The location is excellent in a quiet cul-de-sac near to the village amenities. The property could use some upgrading but that fact does not detract from the enjoyment of our stay

Lovely few days at Greenheys cottage. It location is excellent. The cottage is well equipped but a little outdated. We had problems trying to turn the heating off on what has been the hottest weekend this year!
