This delightfully spacious three-bedroom property is set in mature gardens, tucked away at the end of a quiet, private driveway. Grasmere is a picturesque village in the beautiful Lake District National Park, famous for being the home of notable poet William Wordsworth. Visit the world-famous Victorian gingerbread shop which has been producing award-winning delights since 1854, among a wide selection of restaurants, bars and shops dotted around the village centre less than half a mile away. Hire a boat or canoe and set sail across the beautiful mile-long Grasmere Lake at Faeryland Grasmere (0.5 miles away) before enjoying an afternoon tea at the stunning lakeside tea garden. Or step into another century and discover the story and home of William Wordsworth.

A spacious entrance hallway welcomes you into the property and leads into a generous lounge, enjoying lots of natural sunlight from the expansive bay window overlooking the garden. The space includes matching armchairs and a sofa, plus a Smart TV and a cosy gas fire. Through the property, you’ll find a large well-appointed kitchen, kitted out with everything you might need to cater, leading into the adjoining dining room complemented by more countryside views and a farmhouse-style wooden dining table and chairs. Completing the ground floor is a family bedroom with an en-suite shower room, which features both one double and one spare single bed, plus a patio door leading to the garden. Upstairs, you’re met with a king-size bedroom enjoying lovely views over the garden and beyond, and a double bedroom. A family bathroom with a quirky corner bath completes this comfortable property.

An expansive lawned garden wraps around the whole cottage, boasting some well-stocked borders and a glass greenhouse that children will love exploring, under your supervision.

For location the house is a great place. Simple to walk to cafe's and restaurants and also start local walks from the doorstep. For comfort, the unit could do with a upgrade. In winter we struggled to heat up the house (other than the lounge which has a gas fire - old type but works wonders)

What a lovely house in a brilliant location. Plenty of space, comfortable and clean. We did a few hikes from our front door as well as there being great cafes, pubs and shops (particularly the gingerbread shop) and Wordsworth's grave on the doorstep. A fantastic stay!

Entry was frustrating as the keysafe was very difficult to operate. On final exiting the property, had to call your office for guidance as could not operate the keysafe at all, and had to resort to posting key through letterbox. Carpet in lounge had several stains, and some of the furniture ie tables in lounge and dining room were badly water-markeRead mored/stained. In all other respects property was well stocked. Hide
