For a wonderfully scenic holiday within the breathtaking Lake District National Park, this lovely three-bedroom property in Keswick is a wonderful base for your outdoor adventures. The town is surrounded by the dramatic peaks of Skiddaw and only 1.5 miles from Derwentwater, where you can partake in water sports like canoeing, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding against a spectacular backdrop. For a leisurely walk or cycle, join the Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Trail (0.5 miles) for a scenic 6-mile round trip, following the path of the old railway and crossing the River Greta on historic Victorian bridges – if you’re lucky, you may spot herons and dippers. For rainy days, local highlights include the intriguing Puzzling Place (1 mile), a cinema (0.5 miles), welcoming bakeries and pubs, or Keswick’s indoor climbing wall, 2 miles away.

On arrival, step inside this single-level home into a welcoming hallway leading to all the other rooms. To your left, the cosy carpeted lounge awaits with its inviting electric flame-effect fire and TV – perfect for relaxing after a day out in the fresh air. Through the large window you’ll be able to admire a magnificent vista over the surrounding mountains. Straight ahead from the hallway, you’ll have a well-equipped kitchen/diner with elegant herringbone flooring and a dining table for family meals. This connects to a utility room where you can pop any muddy boots. A separate WC is housed in this space, and there’s direct access to the garden. Off the hallway, you’ll find three comfortable bedrooms: a king-size, a double and a twin. A good-sized bathroom with a shower over a bath completes the indoor space.

Outside, the spacious, enclosed garden provides a lovely setting with a dining table and chairs, ideal for al fresco meals or simply soaking up the serene surroundings. Private parking is available for one car, and additional street parking is available on a first come, first served basis.

A perfectly situated property for our family weekend away. Stunning views and only a short walk into the centre of Keswick. Immaculately decorated, very clean and had all the essentials. Loved the characterful bunny references throughout the house. Would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely New Year at the Rabbit Run, loved that the house was decorated tastefully for Christmas. In a great location just a few minutes walk into town and great views of Skiddaw. Enjoyed watching the rabbits, pheasants and robins in the garden. We had fantastic weather, and did 7 wainwright's and the park run which starts just around the coRead morerner! Hide

Lovely house, clean and well equipped, walking distance to Keswick. Also close to a great biker cafe where we had breakfast most days. Also got to drool over classic motorbikes!
