This is a lovely spacious cottage with a nice cosy feel. The bed was really comfortable, the shower was powerful and the kitchen was well equipped. With a parking space, garden, pub in walking distance and walks from the door, this cottage provided a very relaxing break.

Nice cottage, lay out worked for us. Utility room was very handy for both us & dogs. Peaceful location. Garden is enclosed but not dog secure, meaning we had to have back door shut which was a real shame as the weather was stunning all week. Garden furniture needed cleaning, not inviting to use. Though we didn't have children with us, I did notiRead morece that the trampoline was in an unusable state. No spare batteries for TV remote meaning we had to go out and buy some. It states no dogs up stairs but no stair gate was provided to prevent this from happening. Hide

Enjoyed the location but very hard to find, even though we asked 3 locals they did not know where the cottage was. The arrival time in the cottage brochure states 4.00 pm arrival whereas your brochure is at 4.30pm. I have indicated below that I would not recommend this to a friend but only because of the comments listed above

Brow House is a lovely, cosy and historic property in a beautiful setting. Every room has been thoughtfully furnished and decorated, creating a very pretty cottage atmosphere. The enclosed garden was perfect for our small dog and Brigsteer is ideal for accessing Windermere and lots of other wonderful places in the Lake District. The house was a litRead moretle chilly when we arrived, but very quickly warmed up. The welcome pack and full log basket were very gratefully received. Hide

Overall a lovely quiet comfortable cottage. Larger bedroom a little dark because of large tree blocking out light but bed very comfy. Garden pretty and secure for our adventurous dog !

Just returned from a fantastic few days at the cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were particularly impressed with the facilities, especially the little extras for the dog such as spare leads, bowls and throws for the sofas. The garden is quiet and peaceful and was lovely to sit in when the sun made an appearance. We would definitely stay Read morehere again. Hide

Lovely house, good location close to the pub in a small village. Charming and cosy throughout, a perfect rustic house which is what we wanted. Only drawbacks are it had old scratched Teflon pans which personally really bothers me because of how bad they are. And the downstairs loo doesnt flush very well.
