Couldn't believe that towels weren't included for the price we paid. In the kitchen there wasn't any salt and it wasn't clear what the cleaning pod was for (dishwasher or washing machine), but in any case there was just one! The beds were particularly uncomfortable and you could feel the springs poking in your back. The curtains in the bedrooms wRead moreere thin and didn't have black-out lining so the light poured in and woke us up. Hide

Loved staying here. Great location, easy to walk into Keswick but far enough away for peace and quiet. Very comfortable cottage, parking and outside space are a bonus. Quails in the garden, horses in nearby fields and lovely mountain views. Local pub is close, great sun trap garden. Would happily return

Excellent cottage - very comfortable sofas and beds and a well-equipped kitchen. Heating worked well, which was good for a winter stay. Great to have a parking space. Our third time in Portinscale, but our first in this cottage.

Excellent location with parking for one car along with a high standard of both cleanliness and fittings/facilities, makes this property a very attractive proposition. A comfortable stay is thus not hard to achieve.

Really good holiday cottage, clean, comfortable and so ideally situated to get the bus and to walk into Keswick. Would recommend as ideal for a small group, with a larger group it may be difficult with just the one toilet.

This is a pleasant cottage. Great location with walks from the door and more challenging walks within an easy drive. Keswick shops a 20 mins walk/5 mins drive. Lounge is very comfortable. Cottage central heating warms up quickly and the wood stove looks great. Kitchen has pretty much every thing you need to cook in. Bedroom furnishings are fine. WeRead more found the double bed very firm (and we're used to a firm bed at home) and single mattresses adequate but not great. Overall nice place! Hide
