The cottage is in a great location just a few minutes walk into town. We managed to get parked around the corner with no issues as our car was too big for the parking space provided. The beds are very comfy, the kitchen is very well equipped and the back yard is a lovely sun trap. We would definitely try and book here again. The cottage was very clRead moreean and there were plenty of nice towels. The stairs can be a bit steep but we had no issues. Overall we had a fantastic stay here. Hide

We stayed at Whiskey Cottage for Christmas. The cottage was well situated, just a short walk from the town centre and across the road from Fitz Park which was perfect as we had a dog. It was extremely well equipped and the owner had even supplied a roasting tin for a turkey and left us wine and mince pies which was very kind. The property has plRead moreenty of space and we chose it particularly as it had two bathrooms, one on each floor, which was perfect for us. Also the parking space was very handy and even though it's a bit tight. The stairs are steep as mentioned but my 86 year old mum managed them to the first floor without any problems. We had a lovely stay and would definitely go back. Hide

Well placed near town centre & park. Bedrooms / bathrooms spacious, heating efficient. Unfortunately cottage was dirty, hadnt been hoovered / mopped, crumbs in kitchen, food in the sink, yellow puddle on lounge floor. An emergency cleaner was sent, but a deep clean is needed. Linen has seen better days, random old mugs, top floor bath needs a showeRead morer screen. Outside scruffy with weeds / rubbish. Parking difficult to access down a narrow alley & only inches clearance each side of car. Needs TLC. Hide
