We have stayed in this apartment four times. There is everything you would need. We love it, each year it is like coming home. So clean, comfortable and relaxing.Sitting on the balcony watching squirrels in the trees is a bonus. Peaceful and quiet, just the sound of the stream below.

What a find! Absolutely fabulous stay. If walking into town there is a short cut through The Falls/Oaks Field rather than using The Struggle. Behind the property there is a wonderful field (with seats) which you can access to the right of No 38

Well kitted-out and comfortable house in a lovely location. Less than 10 minute walk to town centre, so no need to use the car if staying local, but note that the hill to and fro is very steep.

Millbank Cottage was a lovely townhouse with its own garage at ground level, within earshot of the weir on the river and surrounded by beautiful trees. The furniture and bedding were very comfortable and the house warm, with plentiful hot water. Please be aware that, like most roads in the centre of Ambleside, the approach from the town centre is sRead moreteep and narrow, and the garage a tight squeeze for a medium sized car. Great location and easy to walk to village. Spacious and ample storage areas. Accommodation would have benefited from an extra armchair as only lounge seating for 5 not 6 which was not ideal. Essential basics such as soap, kitchen roll, cling film, bin bags not provided so be prepared to take your own or buy locally. Juggled the parking of two carsRead more despite having been advertised as site for two cars as the site was busy in August However in summary a good house and location Hide

The beck was quite noisy this year, but we'll have to blame mother nature for that.

Clean and well equipped house with a great location. Some lovely walks from Ambleside so could leave the car behind on some days. Parking in the garage was very tight even with a regular size car and the visitor spaces were always full when we returned after a day out. Take your own hand wash. Overall it was good holiday accommodation.

This is an absolute gem! Really spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. Its a little out of the main town up a few hills, but the pay off is that youre right next to the beautiful falls. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend it.
