We came to inglewood on a mini honeymoon and was so excited to see the new year in with the spectacular view over Penrith. Unfortunately, the break was blighted by the uncleanliness, and poorly maintained property. We had to go out and buy our own batteries for lights, and even an inflatable sofa because the smell was so bad on the couch in the louRead morenge. I was unable to use the shower all week as it had been mended with a medical plaster where the head joint was, the caddy was rusty and soap tray dirty. When we arrived, there were empty bottles of hand wash scattered in the bathroom with dust and hair on the Lino flooring. Where the bin is in the kitchen, there were old yoghurt wrapping and other rubbish left on the shelf above. In the bedroom, we found empty crisps packets and dust webs around the ceiling over the bed. We did spend some time looking for a hotel but the view was the only reason we persevered and adapted it to our comfort needs. This would have been a wonderful honeymoon had the first impression with the smells not hindered our judgement and in the days following, other complaints were found and it certainly needs some love and care. As non smokers, the smell of cannabis and cigarette smoke was overpowering and remained for the entire week and on our clothes after the holiday. The view was tremendous though, and we managed to see some fireworks through the open window due to the mucky sky lights so we do have some good memories. All in all, a 2/10 and thats for the view and quirkiness. Have since been offered a 75 refund which is embarrassing seeing as the inflatable sofa and batteries came to that by themselves. They have since said I didnt inform them on our date of arrival which I did. Very disappointing after care. Hide

A nicely presented maisonette about ten minutes' walk away from Penrith town centre. The railway station and castle are a bit further! I was very satisfied with my stay at Inglewood.

Pleasant place to stay. Over 30 steps up to the apartment & more to head upstairs to sitting room. Worth it for the view though. Clean & well presented. Kitchen a little overstocked. Need space for provisions.

We had an awesome holiday. The property itself was well located for all the amenities of Penrith. We got parked ok on the road outside the property. Very well equipped. Awesome views from the dining and living rooms. Would definitely come back to this property when we are next in the area.

Lovely flat has everything you will need for your stay. We had our 2 frenchies with us but there 53 stairs from the front door to the sofa and no accessible garden so we had to walk to bottom of street to get some grass for toilet breaks which was not ideal but was a great location to go out and about exploring the Lake District etc
