Enjoy time away with your friends and family at this beautifully finished, traditional town house, within reach of the independent shops and eateries of Keswick. Up to eight guests and one delighted dog are welcome to stay at the four-bedroom property, which has an enclosed west-facing courtyard. Make the most of your central position to stock up on local provisions or dine out when you choose. Plan a 10-mile walk right around Derwentwater or hire electric bicycles and explore the area on two wheels. Book a seat on a lake cruise or hire your own motorboat. Have a go at windsurfing, canoeing or paddleboarding while you are here. Catch a film in the cinema or a play at the theatre.

Enter this striking Victorian house via a lobby with room for outerwear, and then the main reception hall. Spread out in the lounge/diner, with its period features, including its bay window and high ceiling. Make yourselves at home in here by lighting the wood burner and switching on the Smart TV or watching a DVD. Wander through to the dining area to play games at the table or enjoy holiday meals together. Find the airy kitchen next door, which is the perfect place to whip up these feasts. The kitchen comprises an electric cooker, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, four-slice toaster and kettle. Head upstairs to find the family bathroom halfway up. This gorgeous room has an elegant bath and a WC. Follow the remaining stairs up to the first floor, where there is a twin bedroom, plus a king-size bedroom with en-suite shower room, also with WC. Two more bedrooms, both with dramatic views, can be found on the top floor of the house. These include a double room and a twin room. There is also a family shower room with a rainforest shower and WC up here.

Spill out into the enclosed, gravelled garden to soak up the sunshine in the afternoon and evening. Dine out here to enjoy the fresh Lake District air. A washing machine plus storage for bicycles and other outside gear is available in the garage. Parking is on the street and is unrestricted.

We often holiday in the UK especially the Lakes however these vacations are no longer a cheap option we will continue however owners need to keep the cottages updated. Good decorating doesn't cost a fortune most can be completed by yourselves this cottage needs some tcl and updating.

Eight of us plus one dog stayed in this property for three days in May. We had a really great time, there was plenty of room for all of us around the dining room table and the rest of the downstairs area never felt crowded. All the bedrooms were a good size with very nice furniture and with three bathrooms there was no waiting around. Everything feRead morelt good about this place and we would definitely recommend it. The location of the cottage is fabulous . The beds are comfortable the bathrooms are good apart from the pressure in the too floor shower room. The kitchen equipment could do with being renewed and there is a damp smell in some of the drawers . The TV was very small for the size of the room and not a smart TV. Great location. Roomy house, generally, excellently provisioned. Good be improved by providing hand towels and hooks to hang dressing gowns in the bedrooms. For this standard of property and price, we would generally expect a welcome pack and enough logs to light a fire.

Lovely house, well equipped and clean. Nice little garden area although small was a great little suntrap. Excellent location for walking into town and close to the park which has activities for all ages. I would highly recommend this house and we will definitely use it again.

We had a great stay in this home. All rooms are really spacious and having 3 separate bathrooms was great! Short walk into town. Easy to get parking on the road around the property. Lovely place to stay for the week. Really well equipped and had everything we needed.

Lovely property, we were a bit disappointed with some of the cleaning, the kitchen worktop looked like something sticky had been spilt on it, I had to clean it up as I did the bath before I used, one of the toilet seats was broken.
