The cottage and garden is charming, peaceful, traditional and in keeping with the natural surroundings of Borrowdale. The cottage has everything you need and the deep bath is the best and relaxing.

A small but comfortable cottage. It had everything we needed and the location is excellent. Parking was a ok but spots do get taken up by day walkers (despite a sign). Warm in bad weather thanks to the coal fire. Would book again in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay at Larch Cottage and would definitely consider a return visit. The location is great, easy access to the cottage using the bus from Keswick and close to lovely walks both high mountains (we hiked up Scafell Pike) and valley walks on both sides of Borrowdale valley. We enjoyed our stay in Larch Cottage. There was plenty of space for two, although the double bedroom is quite small. The kitchen is much better equpped than most cottages with loads of crockery, cutlery, good quality pans and other bits. It might be a tight squeeze for 4 people unless 2 were very small. We bagged lots of Wainwrights walking directlRead morey from the front door. Parking was an issue when we arrived on a Friday evening, as the layby up the lane was full. Hide

Fantastic stay at Larch Cottage. Very clean and well appointed throughout. Comfortable lounge and small kitchen. Beautiful views from the courtyard seating area. Lovely walks directly from the cottage. All in a very pleasant stay. No problem with parking 50 yards up road. Please note the freezer area in the fridge is tiny.

So special to be able to take my girls to Larch Cottage after spending many summers there as a child in the 90s! A gorgeously cosy cottage in a stunning location and exactly how I remembered it.
