This charming property, accommodating up to eight guests, offers the perfect holiday accommodation for families. With convenient access to Cumbria's peaceful beaches, it’s an ideal base for exploring the northern Lake District. Situated in the picturesque rural village of Hayton, this location is perfect for discovering both the Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the northern reaches of the Lake District National Park. Just 6.5 miles away, the historic town of Maryport boasts Georgian and Victorian architecture, a lively harbour, the Senhouse Roman Museum, and the Lake District Coast Aquarium. The nearby village of Allonby, located 3 miles away, features a stunning 5-mile beach and scenic coastal trails. The region is home to several pristine beaches and excellent golf courses. Further inland, Cockermouth (9 miles), is renowned as the birthplace of poet William Wordsworth and offers a gateway to the Lake District, with a 14-mile drive to Bassenthwaite Lake Station.

Heading through the front door you are welcomed into the spacious hallway, perfect for hanging up coats and kicking off your boots after a day at the beach. The snug to the right offers a cosy space to relax or play, with its wood burner and TV. The heart of the home lies to the left and offers a social open-plan living/dining area with patio doors opening out into the garden, an open fire, and Smart TV. The property opens out further into the kitchen, with beautiful handmade wooden cabinets and local slate tops. More dining space can be found off the kitchen for you to enjoy dining whilst the chef of the house whips up a storm. The spacious utility room features a dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer, and is the perfect place to dry off those muddy paws or store your bikes. Heading upstairs you can find the first of the bedrooms, a delightful king-size, followed by the spacious twin, and finally, across the hall is the family room. This set-up is perfect for those with younger children and offers a king-sized bedroom with an adjoining twin. The family bathroom is beautifully put together with slate tones, offering a bath and walk-in shower.

We loved the house. 4 adults and 3 17year olds all enjoyed spending time at the house on our chilled days. The garden was loVely to sit in. House well equipped. The option to have formal and casual dining worked really well for us too. Be aware there are 2 Haytons with Carlisle in between- researched the wrong Hayton so we had a bit of a laugh withRead more that but didn't get to the meal we booked at the "other Hayton" Woud we visit the area again YES Would we stay at Becks Bottom again DEFINITELY.
