The cottage is conveniently situated within quarter of a mile of Keswick town centre, where you will find a range of fabulous restaurants, pubs, cafes, art galleries and independent shops. This bustling town is also home to popular attractions including the Derwent Pencil Museum, the Theatre by the Lake, the Alhambra Cinema, the Puzzling Place and the Keswick Adventure Centre. The banks of Derwentwater are half a mile away, making a great starting point for boat trips, water sports and beautiful rural walks. Local attractions include the Castlerigg Stone Circle (2 miles) and Surprise View (3 miles) at the southern end of Derwentwater. Keen walkers and climbers can head to the peaks of Latrigg (1.5 miles) and Skiddaw (5 miles).
Entering this bright, cosy and refreshing holiday cottage, the entrance porch provides an ideal space for leaving coats and boots before heading along the hallway and into the spacious lounge. This lovely room is perfect for unwinding in, with plenty of seating arranged around the cosy gas fire and the TV, providing a great space for sitting back in the evening with a good book or favourite movie. The dining room also has a TV and provides a great space for sharing a family meal or for planning the day’s activities. You will also find a stylish kitchen, fully equipped with an electric oven and gas hob, dishwasher and washing machine. Going upstairs, the first floor has the first two bedrooms, both king size, including the master bedroom which has built-in wardrobes. The family bathroom is also on the first floor, featuring a shower over the bath and a WC. The second floor has the two final bedrooms, each with low sloping ceilings and plenty of storage space. The fresh and coolly decorated room offers fantastic views towards Latrigg and Skiddaw, and there’s also a lovely, light and relaxing twin room. This floor also has a shower room complete with shower and WC.
Stepping outside, there’s a delightful enclosed patio with outdoor furniture, which provides a charming space for enjoying a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. Roadside parking is available, and secure bike storage can be found in the useful lockable outbuilding.
