Both Lake Windermere and Coniston Water are within a twenty-minute drive of the property, both offering visitors opportunities to take to the water. To the rear of the property, the spacious dining room is a relaxing space in which to linger over family meals, with a dining table seating six, another wood burner, and shelving unit which is well-stocked with games and books. French windows open onto the patio garden, allowing guests to open up this space during the warmer months. The kitchen, which enjoys views over the local countryside, is well-equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher, whilst a door leads on to the utility room where guests will find the washing machine, and /freezer, as well as a convenient WC. The utility room, like the dining room, gives access to the rear garden. Upstairs, there are three restful bedrooms: a double, a twin, and a single room, all of which are tastefully decorated with pine furniture and light, simple colour schemes. The bright and contemporary bathroom is also on the first floor and offers a bath, separate shower cubicle, and WC.

Outside, there is a patio garden with seating to the rear of the property, and a driveway for two cars just to the side of the cottage. Guests are able to use the garage for storing bikes, etc.

Five adults and 2 dogs stayed for a week. The cottage and location are perfect for exploring the area. The kitchen is really well equipped with everything you would need. A small gated back garden is ideal for dogs and parking for 2 cars is really valuable. We enjoyed having a separate dining room where we could sit and chat after a meal.
