We last visited Hazelwood in 2012 and 2013, and as the family has grown, it ticked all the right boxes for location and space to visit again. What a transformation we hardly recognised it. The property is beautifully appointed with lots of space for everyone, good parking and an easy 17-minute walk along the old railway line into Keswick town cenRead moretre. We loved the hot tub when we finally got it to the right temperature. Talking of temperature, the aga took a bit of getting used to, and we had a stressful first night trying to prepare a meal, which was successful after a call to the agent. We were disappointed that no towels were provided, and only found this out on our journey north the day before, so we had to borrow some from a family member and let other family members know. There were several plumbing issues; some radiators didn't work, including the one in the dining room. Some showers were reported to be dangerously hot or not working properly, as mentioned in other reviews. Despite the various issues described, we had a lovely time and have booked Hazelwood again next year Hide

Fantastic family getaway in Keswick. House comfortably fit 14 adults and 3 kids with spaces for everyone to socialise but enough room to spread out. All bedrooms are modern and comfortable. Having parking for 6+ cars is a real bonus for Keswick.

The house is fabulous. It is like the tardis! When you first enter it you doubt if it could contain 9 bedrooms but indeed it does. The bedrooms are all well-appointed but not overly spacious. All bar one are en-suite. The kitchen area is large with comfortable seating near the cooking area so the chefs dont have to slave in isolation. The dining roRead moreom comfortably seats 18 and that is important because eating together is one of the joys of going away as a group. The lounge is long with a gas fire at one end and a log burner at the other. One end has some wall seating, the other end has a number of couches. This means that people can be together or find a quiet corner if they wish. Houses which cater for 18 people are hard to find. Hazelwood does this comfortably and in some style. We had a wonderful time and would go back again. Finally, our thanks to the cleaners who worked very hard to prepare the house for our arrival. Our thanks also to the staff at HolidayCottages who were really friendly, professional and efficient. Hide
