Head down to the shore, less than 1 mile from the cottage, to go out on a launch or to hire a boat. Follow the 10-mile path all the way around the lake to take in the impressive scenery on foot.
Make your way into this charming, reverse-level house via an entrance hall where you can hang your jackets and leave your wellies. Find a washing machine and tumble dryer in a cupboard down here too. Both of the elegant king-size bedrooms are also on this level, each with a TV: one of these has an en-suite bathroom, with a shower over the bath and WC. Settle on the sofas, switch on the Smart TV with Freeview and other apps including Netflix or choose a DVD to watch on the Blu-ray player with a selection of discs.
