This striking Lake District retreat occupies an elevated hillside position with commanding views across Lake Windermere and the surrounding fells. Designed for relaxed luxury and memorable group stays, it is perfectly suited to extended families or friends seeking space, comfort and scenery in equal measure. Sleeping up to eight guests in four generous bedrooms, the property sits just approximately 4 miles from Bowness-on-Windermere and 3.5 miles from Newby Bridge, placing the very best of the South Lakes within easy reach. From here, explore the natural beauty of the Lake District National Park, enjoy organised lake cruises or hire electric boats, canoes, kayaks or paddle-boards on Windermere. Despite the peaceful, elevated setting, the shops, cafés and restaurants of Bowness, Windermere and Newby Bridge are only a short drive away. Lakeside, 5 miles away, offers nostalgic steam train journeys, Lakeside-Ambleside-Bowness steamer/ tour boat access, while Ambleside (9.5 miles) is ideal for boutique shopping, dining and traditional Lakeland pubs. Families will appreciate the nearby World of Beatrix Potter and Brockhole’s adventure playground and outdoor activities.

The house is arranged in an elegant reverse-level layout to maximise the views. On the lower floor are four beautifully appointed bedrooms, all en-suite and all fitted with powerful Grohe rainfall showers. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom, offering hotel-level comfort and privacy for every guest. Two of the bedrooms open towards the side patio and are supported by a convenient kitchenette with fridge, microwave, kettle and Nespresso machine, ideal for early risers or those wanting added independence. A utility room with direct garden access provides a practical space for outdoor gear and muddy paws. Upstairs, the heart of the home is a large, light-filled open-plan living, dining and kitchen space. Framed by expansive picture windows, this level offers spectacular panoramic views of the lake, the surrounding mountains and unforgettable sunsets. The main kitchen is fully equipped to a high standard, making it ideal for group cooking and entertaining, while a separate cloakroom sits conveniently adjacent to the living area. Comfortable seating and a Smart TV create a welcoming space to relax after a day exploring the fells.

Outdoor living is a key highlight. To the front of the property, a large covered deck serves the front bedrooms and provides stunning lake views in all weathers. To the side, a patio with an outdoor dining table offers partial lake views alongside beautiful perspectives of the surrounding mountains and the wooded hillside behind. The landscaped back garden is securely fenced and gated, providing ample safe space for children (though, will always need to be supervised) and up to two dogs to roam and play freely. The car park is gated with protective side gates to keep pets away from main parking area/cars.  From many vantage points around the house and garden, guests can enjoy breathtaking sunsets over Windermere. Practical features are equally impressive. The property offers secure gated parking for four cars, with space for up to six if parked considerately, and includes two separate EV chargers allowing two electric vehicles to charge simultaneously at no extra cost.

For larger gatherings, the house can be combined and booked together with its next door, sister property, Lakeview Vista, located just above, at the top of the garden. Together, the two properties can comfortably accommodate up to 14 adults and children, with parking for up to seven cars, making this an outstanding option for multi-generational holidays or group celebrations.

A beautiful and high standard of property. All the rooms were large and accommodating. The lounge being upstairs provided a wonderful outlook onto lake Windermere. Everyday the changing weather brought a different view. The kitchen was equipped with everything you would need. The use of EV charger was a wonderful extra.

A lovely and well equipped property with amazing views of Lake Windermere. This made for a very comfortable stay. A car is essential for this location but electric charges at the property made this very convienient.

5 stars all round! We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful, newly renovated holiday home. A delightful Christmas welcome pack awaited us and the beautifully decorated Christmas tree meant we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. The house was perfect for all six of us, with four bedrooms all featuring en-suite bathrooms. The upsidRead moree-down layout provides idyllic views of Lake Windermere and the open-plan lounge and kitchen meant we could still socialise while preparing Christmas dinner. We arrived in three cars and there was more than enough space on the driveway. An added bonus was the free EV charging available at any time of day, which was essential as we didnt come across any local fast chargers. We also brought our two medium-sized Labradoodles. The garden and driveway are completely secure with fencing and a gate, so we had no worries about them getting out. The house also benefits from stair gates and a space to leave dogs downstairs if you choose to go out without them, although we didnt as there are so many lovely walks nearby. Parking at Ferry Nab offers a beautiful lakeside walk into Bowness. We would definitely recommend booking and would happily stay again. Hide
