Lovers of the outdoors are in a walker's paradise with routes straight from your doorstep. Enjoy endless walking trails, from leisurely to challenging, and with Coniston and Windermere within 20 miles, you'll have plenty to choose from. There is plenty of activities for families nearby, with Go Ape at Grizedale forest 12 miles away, Steam trains at Haverthwaite railway and Lakes Aquarium around 12 miles away. We also provide a selection of family board games. Golfers are well served while staying at this property. Ulverston, Furness and Eskdale Golf Courses are all within 15 miles and provide stunning vistas while you play. Fancy a change of scene? Roanhead Beach (10 miles) is close enough for a seaside day out and is popular with dog walkers for its dunes and distant views. There's a 300-year-old coaching inn 350m down the road that serves tasty pub food and local ales, which is a lovely finish to any exploration.

This semi-detached, converted barn has been restored to a high standard, while maintaining many of its original features, including exposed beams. Enter the cosy lounge, where ample seating, a smart TV, and a DVD player, along with an electric coal-effect fire, provide a warming atmosphere for film nights. If it's time to eat, the L-shaped kitchen/diner offers a beautiful country cottage feel, complete with a variety of appliances to use, including a range cooker and a large American-style fridge/freezer. When you've whipped up a feast, gather around the adjacent dining table seating 10. Back in the hallway, the stairs split and lead down to the lower ground floor, where you'll discover a charming king-size bedroom, which boasts a sofa and a TV, and a double bedroom. A shower room with WC serves these delightful rooms and a utility room. Access to the garden areas and hot tub is from the lower ground floor. On the first floor, there are three well-appointed bedrooms: a king-size bedroom with a TV and DVD player, a zip-and-link twin bedroom (which can be converted to a super-king on request), and a twin room with a TV and DVD player. Finishing off this floor is a family bathroom with a bath and WC, as well as a separate shower room with a WC.

Outside, an enclosed garden with spectacular views provides a wonderful setting for relaxing with a sundowner or catching up with your book. Kick back in warm bubbles when you climb into the hot tub, before gathering the troop to dine alfresco at the stunning bespoke seating area. There is access to a further shared fenced garden area perfect for games and access to a pond area with summerhouse. There is private parking for 4 cars.
