Situated in a charming semi-rural spot, this tranquil first-floor apartment is part of a larger Lakeland residence surrounded by beautiful landscaped grounds backing on to the slopes of the magnificent Loughrigg Fell. The nearby Miller Bridge crosses over the River Rothay and into Rothay Park on the outskirts of Ambleside (1 mile), a thriving town with a choice of great places to eat and drink and a range of attractions and landmarks including the site of the Ambleside Roman Fort, Zeffirellis Cinema and The Bridge House. Ambleside sits at the northern tip of Windermere, with steam cruisers offering boat trips down to Lakeside (12.5 miles). Grasmere (5 miles) and Rydal Water (2.5 miles) are to the north, with other local destinations including Rydal Cave, Rydal Hall Gardens, Stock Ghyll Force and Stagshaw Gardens, all within 3 miles.

Entering this characterful bolthole, the welcoming hallway has ample space for hanging coats and outdoor gear, with stairs leading up to the main accommodation on the first floor. At the top of the landing, the galleried dining area provides a relaxing spot for everyone to get together for a hearty meal which you can rustle up in the stylishly arranged and fully equipped kitchen which has a handy breakfast bar and ample storage and workspace. Heading through, the chic and elegantly decorated lounge benefits from light streaming in via the big bay windows which offer a fantastic Lakeland view. The lounge also has a useful electric fire, soft furnishings and a Smart TV, providing a lovely space for you all to unwind in. Back across the stairs you will find two tastefully presented bedrooms, decorated in light, soothing shades: two cheery king-size rooms, each with a sleek en-suite bathroom.

Although the apartment has no private space of its own, guests are welcome to make the most of the idyllic shared gardens which offer spectacular views of the surrounding fells. Private allocated parking is available for two cars to the side of the property.

Had a lovely stay at 3 Miller Bridge. Property is quite dated in areas, but immaculately clean and well looked after. The lounge is huge with plenty of space. Signed parking for 2 vehicles. It's a short walk into Ambleside through the park and several walks on your doorstep to Skelwith Bridge or Rydal Cave. Overall a nice relaxing stay.
