Beautifully renovated to a high standard, this end-terrace cottage offers a delightful retreat for families and friends in Ambleside. The property backs onto the town's iconic Bridge House, a scenic central landmark in this much-loved holiday destination. The town's many attractions – including pubs, shops, cafes, an independent cinema and an indoor climbing wall – are all just a few steps away (within 0.5 miles), allowing you to leave the car behind and explore on foot. Lake Windermere, the National Park's largest lake, is only 1 mile away, so feel free to bring along kayaks and paddleboards or rent them in town. Abundant wildlife can be spotted along the scenic banks of the lake, so keep watch as you follow the footpath towards Windermere (5 miles). Alternatively, take a lake steamer to the southern tip of the water, exploring Fell Foot (12 miles) and Newby Bridge (13 miles) for a memorable afternoon out.

Luxurious accents and polished embellishments set this three-storey holiday home apart. Step inside to discover the inviting living spaces arranged across the ground floor, comprising the lounge, dining area and kitchen. The galley kitchen includes a separate boot-drying cupboard for additional storage and convenience, along with all the essential appliances for preparing tasty meals and adventure-ready packed lunches. In the dining area, a circular table sits beside a working wood burner for cosy mealtimes, while in the lounge an ornamental fireplace adds character and comfortable seating with a Smart TV creates a relaxing space for evenings in. As night falls, head upstairs to find three bedrooms. On the first floor, there's a charming double with a handsome feature fireplace and a TV. On the second floor, a second double with a dressing table and a cosy twin both feature sloped ceilings and Velux windows boasting enviable views. Both bathrooms are located on the first floor, each finished to a high standard: one with a walk-in shower and the other with a modern freestanding bath.

Flagstone areas at the front and rear of the cottage catch sunlight throughout the day. To the rear, a paved patio is enclosed and furnished for outdoor dining and includes a secure bike shed for your equipment. A parking permit for one car is provided for on-street parking around the cottage.

Well appointed property, excellent location. Already booked for August 2026 and Easter 2027! A remote control for all TVs would be helpful, also a grab handle by front door for older, unsteady individuals!

Ideal location to pop into town for breakfast and then go out walking. Plenty of eating places on our return. Weather was excellent. Second stay at this cottage and will do again.
