This adventure-seeker's paradise offers space for families or groups of friends to discover the scenery, attractions and outdoor adventures of the Lake District - from exhilarating hikes through rugged countryside to indulgent times spent in local shops or cafes. The house is in the heart of the picturesque village of Staveley, just 50 metres from a much-loved local pub which also serves delicious food. Its beer garden by the river is the place to be on a summer's evening. Without getting in the car, you can indulge in leisurely bike rides and explore scenic trails on foot, while a short drive will take you to the iconic destinations of Windermere, Bowness and Kendal, all within 6 miles. For a family day out, the World of Beatrix Potter attraction is only 6 miles away, while art lovers won't want to miss Blackwell, the Arts and Crafts house, 7 miles away.

Semi-detached and set over two floors, this impressive dormer bungalow offers an abundance of space as well as bright, airy and beautifully decorated rooms. After taking one step up and through the front door, leave your coats and walking boots in the utility/boot room, which also has a washing machine, a tumble dryer and a useful WC. Head into the L-shaped, open-plan living space, where there's ample comfortable seating in which to relax and unwind. Adorned with large windows that offer panoramic views from every angle, this room is bathed in natural light, while a cosy wood burner adds a warming glow on chilly evenings. There's also a Smart TV for family entertainment. The dining table is thoughtfully placed in front of the patio doors, providing a delightful backdrop of the landscaped garden as you eat. Around the corner, an elegant kitchen includes all the essentials and plenty of room to prepare delicious meals. The bright and airy bedrooms are designed with your comfort in mind, featuring plush bedding, generous floor space and ample storage. Two of the three king-size bedrooms are on the ground floor, both with zip-and-link beds that can be made up as two singles if requested in advance. They share a handsome family shower room with a large, walk-in shower. Take the stairs to the first floor – where the rooms have characterful sloping ceilings – to find three further bedrooms: the final king-size (also a zip-and-link), a twin and a single. On this level, there's also a beautiful family bathroom with a shower over the bath, offering a choice of long soaks or refreshing sprays.

A pair of patio doors from the dining area leads to the generous garden, where there's a sloping lawn surrounded by mature trees and shrubs. Three wide stone steps lead up to a patio where seating is provided for you to enjoy a morning coffee or a sundowner as you enjoy the rural views. Making arrivals and departures easy, you'll have private parking for one car.
