This first-floor apartment is located in the grounds of a beautiful Georgian manor house in the small village of Spark Bridge, within walking distance of the local pub. Sitting on the southern edge of the Lake District National Park, the property is perfectly positioned for enjoying day trips to Coniston Water and Lake Windermere. On Coniston Water, beautifully restored Victorian steamers run up and down the lake, allowing visitors to take in the full-grandeur of the surrounding landscape. For a more active view of the lake, the boating centre in the village of Coniston has a large range of watersports on offer, including stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, and windsurfing.

 

This first-floor apartment is reached via a shared entrance which leads onto an impressive staircase taking guests to the apartment’s door. Once inside, guests will find a light-filled open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner furnished with bright, contemporary decor. A window seat allows guests to fully enjoy the magnificent garden views, whilst there are two plump sofas from which guests can watch the Smart TV/DVD. A dining table sits behind the lounge area, beyond which the contemporary kitchen area is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, coffee maker, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. Attractive views of the grounds can also be enjoyed from the chic bedroom with its double bed and carefully chosen furnishings. An en-suite shower room offers a shower and WC, whilst there is also a separate bathroom offering a shower over half-size bath and WC.

 

Outside, the property enjoys a private patio area where guests will find a garden furniture, whilst all of the apartments share access to the extensive landscaped gardens. There is off-road parking for two cars.

This is a fabulous apartment, very clean, very comfortable & warm. Views of the gardens & estuary are lovely. Good views because of lots of stairs to second floor. Very accessible to places to visit good parking. Thankyou for a nice holiday & I welcomed the Prosecco after a long journey from Norfolk !

The apartment is beautiful, comfortable and warm, it's also in the most amazing spot. Lots of places to visit, plenty of walks and shops down the road if you want to eat at home. We love Summerhill but the bed is now an issue for us because it is just uncomfortable and we don't sleep. The apartment is a lovely place to stay. Spacious with everything we needed for our week away. In a very peaceful location but close enough to lake Windermere and Coniston , both about a 30 minute drive away. The apartment is on the 3rd floor so there are quite a few stairs but it is worth it for the fantastic views all around. Would definitely recRead moreommend and hope to stay again soon. Hide

A really lovely appartment in a wonderful setting close to so many attractions. The appartment was comfortable and clean but we felt that the bedding probably needed replacing, and perhaps there should be more attention to detail in the cleaning particularly since this is the start of the season?

A really lovely, comfortable and restful apartment with fabulous views over the estuary. Lots of nice touches from the owners like coffee pods, bluetooth speaker etc that enhanced our stay. Also lots of nice ealks straight from the door.

Beautiful apartment in wonderful location. Be aware that there are lots of stairs up to apartment, however, when you are in its all one level which is great. Quiet, tastefully done and lovely views. Booths, M&S & Aldi within ten minutes drive away, perfect for quiet nights in.

A wonderful place to relax with gorgeous views and fantastic countryside surrounding it. On a clear day Morecambe and Heysham could be seen across the bay. A very high level of fittings throughout the property although the double bed was not what we are used to. The property was lovely and quiet with a friendly feel. Not really visited this area beRead morefore and we explored Ulverston and the surrounding area at the top of Morecambe Bay. Some interesting and beautiful walks in this area. Hide
