Located within the owner’s grounds, this property is situated just 3 miles south of the ever-popular historic town of Appleby, offering a mix of pubs, restaurants, tearooms and shops. Appleby is a great stop on the Settle-Carlisle Railway route and even now, many of the country’s steam trains make their way over the historic Ribblehead Viaduct and past Long Marton Station. The Dales High Way is right outside, and the property is perfect for walkers or hikers too, being close to the Pennine Way and nestling in the beautiful Eden Valley. Ullswater is just a short drive and the magnificent Lake District, or head east to the Yorkshire Dales, Northumberland, and north to the Scottish Borders – they are all within easy reach, making this a perfect holiday location.

The main space in this studio-style apartment is made up of the stunning lounge/kitchen/diner/bedroom with patio doors to the garden. The lounge area offers a great place to kick back and relax, with a comfortable sofa and chair, where you can unwind after a day of exploring and watch the TV in front of the wood burner. In addition to this, there is a lovely dining area set beside the kitchen, which is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer, and everything you require for holiday dining. The stylish bedroom area provides a cosy place to snuggle up in the super-king-size bed. Finishing the accommodation is the shower room with shower and WC.

The garden is the perfect place to enjoy those summer days with a decking area. There is plenty of space for your dogs to roam around the garden. Head through the gate for a lovely choice of walks. There is off-road parking for up to two cars.

Everything we needed, had a fantastic stay at this property. Sandra and frank are excellent hosts and very helpfull. Such a cozy place to stay , big comfy bed. Location great for nearby appleby 5 min drive. New inn pub 1 min from property serving lovely home cooked food and local beers and very friendly landlord/landlady. Will definately be back.

Fabulous place to stay. Lovely walk along river into Appleby. Lots of walks from the door. Frank and Sandra are wonderful hosts. We will keep coming back!

It was seven years since we last stayed at The Dairy but the property is just as good as we remember it - absolutely fantastic - we will be returning !

Going as a walker, tourist, cyclist, or just to relax and chill, it has everything. The clear waters of the lakes and rivers means swimming for dogs and humans alike is great. Be prepared for enormous stunning beauty that leaves you feeling life cannot get any better than what nature has to offer.

A real home from home. All equipment was there and Frank and Sandra were on hand if we needed anything. The note about lighting the fire was really helpful. The New Inn about 100yards from the cottage served some wonderful home cooked food. We wanted a relaxing time and that was exactly what we got. Superb!!

Great hosts, very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable of the area. Good location. Having a dog it was really good to have a quiet enclosed garden and walks straight from the back garden gate. Good sized fridge freezer. More suited for the warmer lighter months. It looks much lighter and spacious on the photos but may be due to us going in November.Read more Also quite cold when the wood burner not on, particularly the floor so take your warm slippers. Hide

A gorgeous little cottage in a great location. Very peaceful. The garden is secure & perfect for our dog who could wander around safely. Frank & Sandra are great hosts, always on hand if needed & very friendly. And gave us some great recommendations for local pubs & restaurants. Location is great for the Yorkshire Dales & the Lakes.
