Off the entrance room, there is a spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with a timber beamed ceiling, a Jotul wood burner, sandstone flooring and French doors opening onto the flagged patio area. The kitchen is a bespoke oak with granite worktops and integrated appliances. Off the entrance room, you will find a bathroom, tiled in Tilberthwaite green slate, with a level access shower. From the entrance room, head up the open-tread staircase to the first floor. Here are two king-size bedrooms, and an inner hall all with oak flooring and underfloor heating. At the top of the landing, there is a second bathroom, also tiled in green slate. The recessed ceiling lights in all rooms are controlled with dimmer switches.

Outside, there is an enclosed private patio to the front of the property with a table and seating where you can enjoy a good book or a glass of wine while listening to the birdsong. To the side, there is a grassed, wild and wooded area which is full of daffodils in the spring.

What a fabulous cottage to stay at! Nettlebed is situated in a beautiful, peaceful location where the air is filled with birdsong and the occasional sheep or cow calling. Its the kind of place where you feel yourself relaxing and your mind calming as soon as you arrive. The views from the hall and landing (where there is extra seating) are truly Read morewonderful. With a private patio area in front of the cottage, we spent lots of time enjoying the warm sunshine and taking in the local wildlife. The cottage is very well equipped with fittings and furnishings of a very high quality. The sofas and beds were extremely comfortable, the showers were great and the kitchen was very well stocked. Gorgeous soft furnishings and decorations made the cottage feel stylish and homely. We loved our stay hugely and look forward to returning. The cottage owners are really lovely, friendly people whose company we greatly enjoyed. If youre looking for somewhere to stay in the northern part of the lakes, with a rural setting, yet within very easy reach of the M6, we highly recommend staying at Nettlebed - its a true gem! Hide

Outstanding in all areas and so peaceful. Only one minor niggle is the sofas were rather low otherwise faultless, must be one of the best available.
