We had a perfect Christmas in the house. The well equipped kitchen was perfect for cooking Christmas dinner for 12 people. The dining room is also ideal for sitting all the family for meal times. The area around the house is lovely to explore and the views are majestic. The local shop and pub are a 2 minute walk away. The Royal Oak is a friendly, wRead moreelcoming, pub. Superb food and engaging staff. All rooms have lovely comfy beds to get the best sleep to prepare you for the coming day. Hide

A wonderful spacious clean cottage with lots of thoughtful touches. Extremely well equipped, warm, plenty of hot water, good showers and comfy beds. The games room was well used by the youngsters as was the playground across the road. Great location for walks straight from the doorstep and an easy bike . It could not be better. Thank you

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is great for Keswick and Whinlatter walks. The house is well equipped and clean. We cooked for our big group a lot and found everything we needed in the kitchen. The living room is very comfy, and the games room upstairs was well used by the teenagers in our group (helpfully, we couldn't hear them from the fRead moreirst floor bedrooms). The views are lovely from the front of the house and the back garden too. We all said we would be happy to stay again. Hide
