Lovely well-equipped cottage in a nice village, which is a bit off the busy tourist route. Good access to walks in the valleys and peaks of the southern Lake District, particularly up Eskdale and Dunnerdale - much less busy (and easier to park!) than other parts of the Lake District, but still beautiful!

Superb location, pubs, restaurants, butchers, grocers, petrol station all on your literal doorstep, whilst still being close by to some off the lakes best bits, this area is an under appreciated gem. The owner is available and helpful ahead of time and a available once you are there but unobtrusive. Can't recommend highly enough.
