Next door is a lounge with uninterrupted views to the fells. There is a large walk-in bay window with a table and handmade wooden bench seating. There is a wood burner, smart TV, exposed beams, and comfy seating to kick back and relax. From the kitchen there is a second staircase with access to the first floor. Great location, nice garden in summer. Plenty of space but unusual layout as is 2 cottages combined. Comfortable bedrooms and roomy bathrooms although missed shower in one of them. Great to have easy to use reasonably priced EV charger.

Far Wescoe is quirky, but stunningly spacious. Having breakfast looking outwards Catbells, Newlands Valley and the rest was perfect. Overall a lovely cottage, great views, well equipped and clean. However the property description does not make clear that it is 1 mile down a single track very narrow lane which nervous drivers will struggle with. Also the turning to get into and out of the parking area is very difficult as the neighbours quite rightly do not want you encroaching oRead moren their property boundary as you turn. Both these things caused us stress on a daily basis and we would have chosen a different property had we known. Hide

One of the most beautiful locations we have ever stayed in, at the head of the valley with breathtaking views of the crags around Keswick, Derwentwater, and the Newlands valley. We had another fantastic stay at far Wescoe perfect location for hiking Blencathra and Skiddaw. The K2T trail is also close and a Fantastic walk into Keswick took us just under an Hour. We absolute love it here. Second time of visiting and we never go back to the same place! The view from the back garden is outstanding and I don't think you could beat it anywhere else. The house is quite remote but we feel this is a plus with many walks from the doorstep. We will be back!

Excellent cottage in a wonderful location with great views. We walked up Skiddaw and Blencathra from the front door. Well equipped, large but very homely and comfortable. Definitely the best cottage we have stayed in in the Lake District and this is our 14th or 15th visit over the years. The only downside is that whilst the car park can accommodateRead more two cars, it was quite tricky to turn a big car in quite a narrow area and on a narrow lane. Overall, lovely and would highly recommend it. Hide
