Compact and well equipped. Lovely views. Many local walks and a great selection of maps and guides to plan excursions. The enclosed garden was perfect to let the dog out without worrying as to where she had gone. I really enjoyed my week there.

What a lovely place to relax, unwind and recharge. The view from the open plan room is always beautiful, specially the sun sets. You can walk directly from the well equipped cottage. Short and long. And a short drive to the Lake Districts lakes and hills.

I loved The Annexe and its location. The property is well equipped and has lots of local information. It was perfect for a week's quiet getaway, with great walks and views of the hills and mountains over Duddon estuary. Kirkby, Ulverston, Dalton, and Barrow were also close enough for anything urgent. Also, the area is well served by a frequent railRead moreway service. The two nature reserves on Walney and the National Trust one at Sandscale Haws (NT) are superb and only a short drive. Hide

We really liked the Annexe, and its outlook over the Duddon Estuary towards the Coniston fells. It's a handy location too, for exploring both the coast and the interior. Very well supplied with local information, too.

Just returned from a lovely stay at this property, it was very clean and well stocked with essentials as in cutlery, pots and pans etc. Beautiful view from terrace on a clear day, but we also relaxed in the secluded garden with our dog. The hosts were very responsive to any questions we asked. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone whRead moreo wish to explore the area, although some of the roads our Sat Nav took us on were questionable, i would suggest sticking to main roads where possible Hide

The cottage is nice and quiet in a small hamlet. The large lounge windows are excellent. Duddon Sands at Askam are very close for coastal walking.
