A beautiful cottage. Very comfortable and well equipped to a high standard. There's no shop or pub in the village ( as per the online description) but Milnthorpe is only a short drive away.

Absolutely fabulous place to stay. On arrival the cottage was absolutely spotless and all equipment was high end. The only thing i would suggest these days would be an air fryer as t people seem to prefer them now. But that would be our only addition. We had such a great stay at The Stables. It was perfect in every way, the kitchen was a pleasure to use with everything you could need, high end appliances and little extras that were useful, including sharp knives! The Stables was beautifully furnished throughout, and the huge bath was perfect for relaxing in after a day of long walks. The locatioRead moren was great for accessing lots of walks around the area. Levens Hall bakery is a must visit, freshly baked sourdough loaves and delicious cakes! Hide

Stunning!! So beautifully decorated, furnished and equipped. The bathroom is amazing with the biggest bath Ive ever seen and a lovely shower. I wanted to bring the kitchen home, all the appliances were top of the range and very easy to use. The whole cottage has been so well thought out just right for a couples getaway.

Comfortable and well-equipped cottage in perfect spot for Southern Lakes, historic houses and coast. Levens Hall is walkable and good pub/restaurant in Levens village (Hare and Hounds). Excellent bus service to. Kendal and the lakes stops at end of road.

Really comfortable cottage which was spotlessly clean and luxuriously equipped in many ways. Clean and spacious it made rainy days no challenge and provided a home from home feeling. Mattresses may need replacing soon as sinking in the middle (we are both lightweights!)

We have used many self catering properties throughout the UK and Spain. We have rarely visited one we thought we could live in. This though was one. Quite outstanding. We expect to return. No 3 Curry in Milnthorpe can be recommended too.
