This truly is a lovely cottage. Very well equipped with all the essentials that you need plus lots of extras. The welcome pack inc homemade bread, butter preserves and lemon cake was delicious. Beds are really comfy. 4 adults and 4 dogs had the best time. Would highly recommend

A cozy cottage for exploring the Northern Lakes and Solway Coast. Dog visitors are positively welcomed with treats, a garden for their sole use and peaceful walks from the doorstep. Other guests are spoilt rotten with a welcome basket of homemade treats and essentials like milk, butter and preserves. The cottage was warm and a fire already preparedRead more to be lit (coal, logs, kindling all provided); another thoughtful addition from the owners. Thanks for making our holiday so special and memorable. Hide

A lovely property in a small and picturesque village in Cumbria. There were lots of nice little touches left by the owners such as a sponge cake and honey which was really appreciated. I would wholeheartedly recommend this property and I am looking forward to booking again.

We came for the first time last year, had such a great stay that we had to come back this year! The cottage is in a great location, very peaceful and central to so many amazing walks. The welcome basket was again a lovely touch (and the cake was amazing!) The dogs loved the garden for a play and even a paddle in the river.

Great location for exploring the Western Lakes. If you are blessed with sunshine, the garden is a real sun-trap. Cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired, lots of cobwebs and dust around the cottage, walls dirty too. The living room is not a nice room to relax in: sofas the most uncomfortable sofas ever, picture hooks without pictures, as well as dirRead morety walls. It feels quite inconsistent as bedding is super clean, kitchen very well equipped and amazing hamper on arrival. Hide

Thank you for an amazing trip away. There was 2 adults, 2 kids and 2 Golden Retrievers and the cottage was brilliant. It was an amazing touch leaving us the basket of goodies including a beautiful cake. This really got our holiday off to a great start! Thank you. We will definitely look to return in the future to explore more of the Lake District!

Location was quiet as what we wanted due to fireworks at home. Advert said you can walk to the hotel/ pub but didnt say there wasnt a path to walk on but a single track road. So we didnt go to the pub.

The cottage was perfect for a stay with dogs in the Lakes. The location meant we were close to lots of walks but away from the crowds. The enclosed garden and quiet lanes again great for the dogs for a late evening stroll.
