The cottage was perfectly placed for our recent 3 night visit to Cartmel for a family event. Clean, tastefully decorated and very well equipped. Well laid out guidance and instructions folder. Good to see lots of electric and USB sockets. Small courtyard useful in dry weather. Comfortable bed and quiet overnight. We had no problem finding spacRead moree in the nearby 2-hour bay on arrival and departure. In between we parked in the park using the 35/week option. Only a short and pleasant walk through the village (past the pubs and Sticky Toffee Pudding shop!). One of the best cottages in Cartmel that we have stayed in. Excellent nearby places to eat and drink. Hide

What a delightful cottage. Yes, it's small and yes, the stairs are a little steep but it's beautifully put together and a perfect base to enjoy the area. It is nicely furnished and equipped with quality goods - no IKEA here - the bed is very comfortable; the heating very efficient; the shower worked well , the towels were clean and soft and the watRead moreer was hot and plentiful;. A lovely selection of L'Occitane toiletries and a nice welcome pack. I would have no hesitation in recommending No 3. Hide

Nice cottage in a great location. We had two main issues; a) The stairs are steep & narrow - people with mobility issues could struggle. Our dog slipped on a couple of occasions. b) We searched specifically for cottages with parking. This cottage doesn't have its own parking and the on-street is limited to 2hrs so we had to park at the racecourse -Read more 35 for the week / 0.25mile away. fortunately the weather was kind to us.
