Sleeping two guests in one bedroom, the unique property is in a great location for exploring the town, 1 mile away, with its independent shops and boutiques, as well as its eateries, cinema, theatre and museums. Stroll down to Derwentwater, about 1.5 miles from the cottage, to follow footpaths or book a seat on a cruise out on the lake. Drive to the marina, 3.5 miles away, to try canoeing, kayaking or windsurfing. Visit the Castlerigg Stone Circle, less than 1 mile from the cottage; plan a day trip to Grasmere, 15 miles away to see Wordsworth’s House and Garden.

Follow the steps up to the garden and open the door to find a reception hall, with storage for outerwear and access to the rest of the inviting accommodation. Wander on through into the lounge/kitchen/diner, with its wooden floor, vaulted ceiling and revealed woodwork. Settle on the sofa to watch a film on the satellite TV. Find a book to read or puzzle to complete or simply take in the fell views to Latrigg. Discover the  modern kitchen area close by which has an oven, induction hob, microwave, a fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Make yourself a cup of tea or pour yourself a glass of something from the welcome pack; then start thinking about dinner. Prepare a romantic meal to enjoy together at the table. Further on in the cottage is the stylish bathroom, which has a shower, bath and WC, then the bedroom, with its king-size bed and distant mountain views to Grisdale Pike and the Coledale Horseshoe.

Lovely, well appointed little house, which has recently been refreshed. Great location for visiting Keswick and surrounding lakes. We wished we'd taken head torches when we visited in winter as some parts of the route to and from Keswick can be very dark in the evening.

Comfortanle cottage perfectly located to explore Keswick & surrounding area on foot. Bus stops right outside, should you prefer. Great parking space too! Nice welcoming basket, including a useful, local, free parking disc, valid for 2hrs. Quiet & peaceful with surprisingly low road noise. Felt very much at home.

We were disappointed with the road noise at night. Not sure why this has not been mentioned before? It kept us awake. We closed the window, however it got so uncomfortably warm. There were cobwebs up in the skylight that had been overlooked by the cleaners. This was mentioned in the feedback book. They have clearly been there a while. The cottage wRead moreas well equipped. It does need a bit of an update in areas and I think the carpet needs a deep clean, as there was an odour in the place. Hide

A small and compact cottage, cosy and well-equipped. Not ideal for the elderly or disabled because of the 17 outside steps to be climbed to get to the door.
