Lovely cottage with a stunning aspect, away from neighbours. Basic inside, but that was perfect for us as we have kids and dog, so simpler the better. It was very clean and beds comfy. The aga took a bit of navigating but it kept the place warm and the top oven cooked a pizza fine. Great for quick drying of socks too! The house and its amenities were as advertised. It's certainly not a super-modern house, but it has its charm. The surroundings are fantastic, and the people who work and live nearby are friendly. Many tourist villages are nearby: 20-25 minutes. We stayed in the summer, so we didn't really experience the cold, and I think there's plenty of heating,Read more and the stove works well (not ideal for a quick meal). We enjoyed our stay! Hide

This house is in a beautiful area. Although close to hotshots, it is peaceful and feels remote. The house is great for dogs, and we have 2 big ones! Don't worry about the narrow entrance. We have a pretty big pickup, and whilst tight we got it in ok.

A very homely cottage which on colder days is very cosy with the Range oven on. A little tired in places but we had a comfortable time here. Views are lovely and nice to see the cows straight out of the bathroom window.

We spent 3 weeks in Bridge house, and we really appreciated it. We felt at home at the minute we opened the door. The house is cosy, cleaned, welcomed, and with heart (sorry for our english). That is what we want when we go abroad, to touch the authentic. Adults, children and dogs, we leave it with regrets :). Also, the house is very well located Read moreto explore the whole Lake District, the beach, the coast, and even the Yorkshire. We recommend it. Certainly our best holidays. Hope to come back! Hide
