Booked here for 3 days at very notice. Lodge easy to find with great views across to Penrith. Lodge itself was great. Very clean, comfortable and welcoming. The biscuits were gorgeous. Lodge had everything you need Shower was warm and powerful. Ideally placed to explore Lakes. Would recommend.

We had a very enjoyable break at Crossfell View! The lodge is cosy and very well equipped, the wine in the fridge was a very welcome touch! Lovely views from the front of the lodge and it is very well located to enjoy Ullswater and the surrounding area.

Great location. The lodge did its job - somewhere comfortable to shower, eat and sleep. Would have given it 5 stars if not for a few things: the lodge is clean but smells like an old persons home. Not a bad smell, but strong. The carpet in the bathroom is a strange choice, even with a bath mat down its hard not to get the floor wet. My only other gRead moreripe was less than half a toilet roll was provided, we had to buy our own. Other than that, it was a good stay. Loads of local info provided too. Hide

Great lodge in a peaceful location at the end of the lane. Clean and very well-equipped, even including washing detergent! Excellent for a family stay. Drying room and cycle store very helpful. There's also a hair dryer, iron and ironing board which aren't in the listing as well as spare blankets/duvet.
