Beautiful cottage in a gorgeous location, immaculately clean and the owners have thought of everything for your stay. I can't fault the cottage at all. The only thing I think people should be made aware of is because you're heading out of the village traffic tend to speed up and the door is right on to the lane. So anyone with dogs or kids please bRead moree aware of this. Not the owners fault obviously, just alot of inconsiderate drivers. Perfect stay though, thank you! Hide

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. Great rural location for doorstep walks but not too far to travel to see the tourist hotspots! The pub in the village served good food and our daughter enjoyed the village playpark. Perfect for our dog as well!

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
