A special and very private wing of a beautiful Lakeland stone home, set in an acre of wooded, quiet, sunny and secluded garden.

Perfectly located in an acre of lovely garden, but just a 6 minute walk of bustling Bowness, Lake Windermere, boats and ferries. You can easily hop on a steamer or ferry, or hire kayaks, bikes or boats for your own mini adventure. Situated within the owner’s grounds near the popular Lake district town of Bowness on Windermere, it has everything you need for a couple’s getaway. It is a great place to enjoy the many cafes, pubs and restaurants or browsing the shops or why not head down to Lake Windermere and take a tour of the lake via the steamboats or if you prefer, hire some kayaks and have your own mini adventures. A great base for exploring Ambleside, Windermere, Grasmere and many other Lake District locations.

The property has its own private entrance to the ground floor - open plan, uncluttered, toasty warm, and incredibly spacious. At one end a sparkling white kitchen with everything you might need for a short break or longer holiday - dining table for 4 conveniently next to it. The living room through the arch occupies the rest of the space, squashy sofas, cosy fire, lamps for reading, books and DVDs galore, DVD player, and a big screen for flopping down in front of after a hard days walking or sight-seeing. Hop up the stairs to find a stunning bedroom – a huge super-king bed decked out with comfy topper, fine white linen, and down pillows and duvet, and top notch solid oak chests and wardrobes. The bathroom is a gem, and as well as toilet and basin, includes a large bath, walk in shower, and bidet - topped off with underfloor heating.

The peaceful garden and terrace are yours to explore or simply sit in with a book and a cup of tea or enjoy an evening alfresco meal. There is ample private parking.
