The beautiful apartment boasts far-reaching rural views and is perfectly placed for exploring the quaint town of Ambleside, as well as enjoying some exhilarating fell walking.

This wonderful property is just 0.5 miles from the centre of the bustling South Lakeland village of Ambleside, where you’ll find a fantastic selection of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to walking opportunities; hike to the top of Loughrigg Fell (3 miles) for fabulous views over Grasmere or wander down to Windermere’s Waterhead Pier (less than 1 mile) for a waterside stroll or a ride on one of the iconic steamers. Lake Windermere is a truly magical place, surrounded by mountain peaks and pretty Lakeland villages – a photographer’s dream. Hop on and off the steamers to ride on the vintage steam railway, visit the aquarium or explore the World of Beatrix Potter.

The first-floor apartment has a spacious lounge, decorated in neutral tones to create a calm and relaxed atmosphere. The room is flooded with natural light, thanks to the large window framing a spectacular view of the nearby fells. The reclining sofa and armchairs are the ideal spot to relax with a hot drink in front of the Smart TV after a long walk. The open-plan kitchen/diner is a bright and airy space, designed with entertaining in mind. Gather around the dining table to plan the next day’s itinerary and, on a hot day, throw open the sliding doors for a spot of indoor/outdoor dining. From here you can access the private balcony – a peaceful spot to relax with a morning coffee, admiring the view. Along a corridor from the lounge, you’ll find the three bedrooms, all decorated in muted tones to create the perfect ambience for a good night’s rest. The first is a king-size with a beautiful en-suite shower room with WC. The second is another bright and airy king-size, which can be made up into a twin on request. Finally, there’s a charming single bedroom with fabulous countryside views. The family bathroom comprises a large walk-in shower and WC.

Outside, discover your own private balcony with a table and chairs to enjoy a relaxing glass of wine whilst admiring the spectacular scenery. You’ll also have access to the delightful, shared gardens. There’s a handy garage for storing bikes, which also has space to park a small car within. There is parking for one car in front of the garage and, should you need it, an additional space in the shared parking area (first come, first served).

The apartment is exactly as described and the view was spectacular. I enjoyed a glass of wine on the balcony after a long walk as we were lucky to have good weather.

This flat has the most stunning view! The flat is well equipped for cooking facilities and the beds are very comfortable. Parking is also good although a bit on the tight side if you have a large vehicle.

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
