It is a lovely apartment very close to all of the amenities. There is a steep hill and a flight of steps to the flat but this was not a problem for us. The views from the apartment are as wonderful as the photos suggest. It is well equipped and comfortable with plentiful seating.

Clean, comfortable flat, with great views over Ambleside. Great beds for a holiday home, and good amount of living space for 2 couples. However if you are at all infirm, then think very carefully about the location before booking this flat as its quite a long way up a fairly steep hill from the main road.

A lovely comfortable property with fantastic views. Just be aware it is a very steep access road if you are walking back and forth into Ambleside. Not for anyone with weak knees.

We had a really enjoyable 3 nights at Ambleside View. Spacious, warm and comfortable apartment with far reaching panoramic views. The bed was very comfortable as was the lounge furniture. Convenient for walking into centre of Ambleside but possibly a bit on the steep side if someone has mobility issues. We hope to stay again

A wonderful gem but the hill would make it inaccessible to many. Outstanding views and great for bird spotting in the garden . Well appointed but no washer . Very little worktop space . Great to have internet connection and free view. Beds were the most comfortable that we have ever had in a hotel or self catering accommodation.

Comfortable apartment with a stunning view from the kitchen and lounge. Well equipped and warm. Lovely quiet area - we saw deer roaming the cul-de-sac. A bit of a climb up the road but that is the nature of the landscape. Easy access to restaurants in Ambleside and also near to Waterhead end of Windermere. The apartment was just what we were hoping for; the perfect base for our family walking holiday. Comfortable, clean and warm, it had everything you could want, and a lovely view over the rooftops to the mountains beyond. It's just a short walk from the town centre and so convenient for accessing the hills straight from the front door.

Disappointed to find a half eaten packet of crisps and other items in one cupboard and the remains of a loaf of bread in the bread bin.

The apartment is in a great location as it's a short walk (down or up hill) from the centre of Ambleside and central for exploring the Lake District. The view from the picture windows was fabulous, and we never got tired of it! Being able to walk from the door to Stock Ghyll Force or up Wansfell for example was a bonus for us. The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
